Extending time Served

This week Trevor told his Dad he had an important question he needed to ask him on P-Day.  He asked if we would be okay if he extended his mission one transfer and came home on November 16th instead of October 5th.  It was a hard decision that was not taken lightly. We were both great with him extending, however by doing so he would miss out on the family vacation to Cabo San Lucas that was planned months ago for all 10 of us to be there. Plus plane tickets had been bought for his homecoming.  So many moving parts with the family that if he extended there would be no family vacation with everyone together until after Meredith returns from her mission in about two years.  Also Meredith has plans to go through the Temple for the first time the Saturday after Trevor would be getting home. She planned it that way so she could have Trevor there.  So has much as it hurt to advise him it would be best to come home, we also wanted him to make the decision.
