Love Your Neighbor

Not a lot to report on this week, just the usual finding grind. I'm gonna save you all the boring details and tell you a story that happened this week.

We had just walked out of a lesson, it was late and way too dark for us to be out in our area. We're biking along. Me and my two little ducklings following me around, because our area has streets like utah, but no coordinates, just street names, and it confuses them. We're trudging along, and we see a car pull an extremely fast 180⁰ turn, just to get it's passenger side front tire stuck in a gutter, the drivers side back tire is lifted probably 10 inches off the ground.

We, in the attitude of all missionaries, yell out a kind "do you need help sir?" As he gets out of his car to assess damage. He politely says "no, I'm good". However, if you're not familiar with Latinos, they're not amazing at asking, or allowing, you to help them. So, seeing as this man's oxen is quite literally stuck in the mire, we drop our bikes and walk up anyways. We put all of our not-too-bright brains together and decide that us 3 missionaries are going to stand on the back of the car while the man drives it forward. My 2 new companions look at me as I stand on the bumper of the car and say "is this allowed?", to which I reply the usual "just dont let president know".

So all 3 of us are standing on the driver side rear bumper of this car, and this guy starts pressing on the gas, and it turns out that it actually works! His car started to move and then we all low-key fell off as he drove over his demolished front bumper. And then he rattled off a thank you, and drove away. And we hopped back on our bikes and continued home. Just another day in cloverleaf.

Love you all, have a great week. Love God and love your neighbor!
