"F" Bombs

No letter this week from Trevor. Just the usual texting with me all day. Here are a few items from our texting:

1. The English/Spanish couple that they have been teaching has taken a turn. The wife (Terri) is not longer interested and likes her Pentecostal church. However the husband, Nain, is still hyped and is learning! Last week they had five investigators at church as a result of the English connection class they are teaching! in Trevor's words "that's freaking sick"!

2. We were walking around a trailer park to see if any hispanos would talk to us and we were leaving pass along cards and there's a lot of random cats and the occasional stray dog but nothing huge. I think they just let their dogs roam around during the day around here. But we did meet a crackhead, which was funny! He wasn't high when he was talking to us, but he definitely had his fair share of drugs in the past. So many "F" bombs it was hilarious. It was the most Louisiana thing I've seen! He told us some word beliefs he has too.

3. Speaking of "F" bombs. Cussing is like nothing here lol. Members will do it...we had a lesson with an English member who speaks Spanish and he said some stuff like "it's hot as h*ll"!

4. The four of us serving here in the Spanish area of Lake Charles are currently sharing the area. Whoever we find we teach no matter where they live. There are not enough members for us to split. Eventually, when we have a branch in our area, our area will be the west part of the ward ( Sulphur and Westlake areas).

5. Elder Rodriguez (one of the elders in Trevor's apartment) flies back to his mission in Chili this week!

6. Interesting fact about Elder Galvan's family. They life in the Paracho Michoacan area of Mexico and make guitars. There are more guitar makers there than all of the US! Trevor's cousin Dallin served his mission in Michoacan.

7. This week we have been grinding to meet with members that speak Spanish so we have dinners almost everyday this week! We will also be able to teach them lessons!

8. He asked about Jeanie Primes. An investigator he met while he was still home. He would go with our ward missionaries to help teach her and her mom. He was so excited when I told him that she did get baptized!
