The Newport Beach Temple
Because California has been on lockdown with the Covid-19 Pandemic all Temples have been closed since March 15th. Missionaries have not been able to go through the Temple before their missions. Seven months later restrictions have begun to be lifted a bit so the Temples have opened for live ordinances only. Newport Beach Temple would be open for one week only in which those who are currently serving missions in the Newport Beach and Anaheim Missions got priority to go through.
Thankfully we know people who work in the Temple and reached out to them. Trevor was able to get a time to go through the Temple to receive his endowments. The only people allowed to go to his session were him and 15 people of his choice. We had less than a week to prepare! Unfortunately none of our family was able to go due to living too far away or being sick. However he was able to have those who have mentored him through his youth years and helped him get to this stage in his life at church with him.
Due to the unique circumstances everyone had to come one hour early and wait outside until the Temple staff let us in all at once. Everyone was also required to wear masks.
